JBS Summer Games

To celebrate the Summer Olympics the Jenni Bowlin Studios Design Team are hosting Olympic themed inspiration over at the blog all month long. They're challenging everyone to play along too and there are amazing  prizes up for grabs, just post your Olympic inspired projects to this thread in the forum.

i don't know about you but there's a little hole in my life since the Olympics finished and i can't wait for the Paralympics to start this week! In the meantime i decided to play along with the JBS Summer Games. My page is inspired by Hurdles, in a couple of different ways. Firstly the topic, & then the design. i've used a zig zag paper from JBS and also my photo placement. It is very unusual for me to use almost a whole sheet of patterned paper unless i am using it as my background, but this magpie paper is just too pretty not to be using in all it's glory.

i've had a busy weekend with family, but i have the whole of today free it being a Bank Holiday in England & i intend to scrapbook all day long! 

August TMC Challenge

August Challenge at Truly Madly Crafty is up and this month's challenge is 'Summer Fun'. My layout is entitled Summer Fav's and was really just an excuse for me to use the JBS Starburst stamp. 

My summer fav's are Eton Mess, Sunshine on my face, flip-flops and reading in the park. It's been a pretty exciting summer around here with the Olympics being held in London and i've been pretty much glued to the tv for the last 2 weeks. i also  had the opportunity to go to the Olympic park yesterday, which was amazing! My summer has been full of other fun trips and we've even had some nice weather here and there. Yes, summer is my favourite.
